1. Who we are
Cutaway ("we", "us") operates the website at cutawaybg.com — a browser-based image tool. Contact: hello@cutawaybg.com.
2. Your images
Cutaway's background removal runs inside your browser, on your hardware. Your images are never transmitted to our servers or any third party by this tool. There is no upload step in the processing pipeline. The page includes a live "privacy monitor" that counts the page's outgoing network bytes so you can verify this yourself at any time.
3. Data stored on your device
We use your browser's local storage for interface preferences and local tool state. The downloaded AI engine is cached by your browser's standard caching mechanisms. Both stay on your device and can be cleared via your browser settings at any time.
4. Analytics
We may use a privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics service (such as Cloudflare Web Analytics) to count page views and understand aggregate usage. Such services do not use cookies, do not fingerprint individual users, and never see your images.
5. Advertising and payments
The launch version does not load advertising scripts and does not collect payments. If we introduce ads or paid supporter options later, we will update this policy before enabling them. Advertising or payment scripts, if added in the future, will not have access to the images you process.
6. Third-party content delivery
To function, the page loads assets from content delivery networks: the AI engine (jsDelivr), fonts (Google Fonts), and libraries (cdnjs). As with any website asset, these CDNs see your IP address as part of serving the files. They never receive your images.
7. Payments
Cutaway does not currently process payments. If paid options are introduced later, checkout will be handled by a third-party payment processor and we will not receive or store your card details.
8. Children
The service is a general-audience tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, children included.
9. Your rights
Because we hold no account data and no images, there is typically nothing for us to access, correct, or delete. For questions about analytics or advertising data, or any privacy concern, contact us at hello@cutawaybg.com and we will help, including directing requests to the relevant third party.

We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the effective date above.
